connection with username and password

Whoever

I have linux mint6 with gnome desktop, Mint has recognized my wireless card and connection with server is established (in the tray icon of network manager states >conected to Terra<)

Now Since I am new to linux I don have a slightest idea how to create the connection with username and password, because this is the way how I connect to internet.

I windows this was easy!

Terra is wireless provider

I can tell you how I connect in Windows

First I chose one of the wireless networks (in my case Terra)
than I create internet broadband connection with user name and password
pppoe

In Linux Mint connection with wireless provider is established but I can not find where to create broadband connection using username and password?

My bee there is another way?

What is wicd and where to find it - I have installed Mint6 from LiveCD so I don't have any repositories available.
I would need to download it from windows and that to install it in Mint6

Thank for help so far!
