VirtualBox PUEL reverts to OSE after Ubuntu upgrade
HISTORY:
Originally installed OSE not realising I needed PUEL to use USBs. Then installed PUEL. I'm sure that I replaced OSE by PUEL somehow, but can't remember or find a reference to how this might have been done. PUEL worked fine.
NOW:
Upgraded Ubuntu to 9.10. PUEL has disappeared from System Tools and OSE is in Accessories. This does not support USB, so is useless to me.
PROBLEM:
How to replece OSE with PUEL without having to re-install all the programs, printers etc that are installed on the XP guest.
Remove the OSE version and install the PUEL version. There should be no need to change the WXP installation but you may have to re-create the WXP virtual machine stored in ~/.VirtualBox/Machines/<name of virtual machine>. Prudent to make a copy of that directory before the remove and install.
