Yahoo Messenger dosent with root

I have a funny problem with Yahoo Messenger.....It freezes after a few seconds, when I launch it as root.

However, when I use it as a normal user, it runs perfectly fine. I tried a forcible reinstall too, but didnt work for root...any suggestions about how to get it working under the root login?

Regards,

amit

1) You shouldn't run things like yahoo messenger as root. There is no good excuse for such.
2) You probably have some corrupted conffiles in the home directory of root. Try removing them.
3) See (1) again.
