I have a very annoying problem with Xorg. When I have at least two YouTube videos in Firefox (doesn't matter if YouTube directly or YouTube API), Xorg sometimes (no pattern found yet) crashes. Everything freezes for a moment, and I'm shown a black screen. I then have to switch to tty2 and restart Xorg (but I can see that Xorg is still alive).
I am using Fedora 22 with Linux 4.1.4, Mate, and Firefox 39.0.3. Using Intel integrated graphics: Intel Corporation Broadwell-U Integrated Graphics, Intel HD Graphics 5500.
I cannot remember of when exactly this started happening, so I cannot track back a particular change in my system.
Looking at the logs, it looks like Xorg receives a SIGABRT, and then everything else gets killed.

There could be a number of reasons that the system goes out (or a combination). It could be that you aren't using swap (and really should be). It could be a problem with your wireless card (I had similar problems until switching to a proprietary driver for my chipset, in conjunction with having no swap). It could be DPMS... Try turning off DPMS first (it's easiest)...
I don't know what swap might do with this issue. I do have swap, and I also have enough RAM that I could avoid using swap:
Code:
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 11997720 617556 10316764 137964 1063400 11147236
Swap: 6029308 0 6029308
I also turned DPMS off, but I managed to make it crash: opening various videos from various places and pause some, run some others, and scrolling stuff like this. As I said, I could not find a pattern, and I also had to work on it for some time until it finally crashed.

If a swap partition is incorrectly set up (for instance, partitions were re-sized, resulting in new UUIDs, with the fstab pointing to the old one) and the system goes to swap,... It could lock up.
A wireless card driver that throws errors can lock up the system, as well. Mine had me unable to even switch to a virtual console to kill any processes. The keyboard would freeze for minutes at a time. Error outputs would even interrupt command line logins to the point you couldn't log in.
In the case of DPMS, if DPMS is deactivated, and the video player re-activates it,... many times it will be with a ridiculously short duration, blanking the screen.
In my case, I had all three things going on,... Fixing each one improved the situation until all three were fixed and it went away.
If none of the above are the culprit,... The next place I would look would be the video driver and acceleration.
Xorg is crashing, not locking up. It might be what you say, but I doubt it.
I'm sure most of the times the system crashed, there was still plenty of RAM available. Of course, swap may be used even when RAM is available, but I hope that's not the case.
In this laptop, I rarely use the wireless card. I nearly always use cable. It might also give problems, but it's usually more reliable than wireless.
Anyway, I'll check what you say (I can't now), in case there's some misconfiguration in any of the components.
