will delphi run on winex ?

i`m asking because i got problem with running kylix3 on my mandrake 9.1

when i try to run kylix i get:


[hunter@localhost hunter]$ ./startdelphi

me installed it succesfull but borpretest gives me error:


[hunter@localhost borpretest]$ ./borpretest
Borland Kylix System Compatibility Test

Checking loader....lib-a.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[hunter@localhost borpretest]$



i know it is because of glibc.. there is borland patch for glibc 2.5.x but i use glibc 2.3.2

when i installed glibc 2.5.x and i tryed to patch it i get maaaany errors... not worked


i`m going to change distro from mandrake to gentoo.. (currently downloading iso's)
but i dont know that kylix3 will work on gentoo without glibc & other errors...

please help me
