I can't run winex...am using mandrake 10

I downloaded WineX (rpm) it installed but i can't run ms appz and games. I am dual booting mandrake linux 10 and WinXP(ntfs partition). I tried its original config and also tried a false windows dir. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

the only thing you did wrong is not tell us
what you are trying to run, and what errors
you are getting ... remember wine is still
alpha, so its not going to run anything and
everything you try ....

I run mandrake 10 also and installed winex3 from rpm no prob, but now when I try to start it by doing
winex3 at the bash prompt linux acts as if I have not installed winex at all (similar message to command not found in dos). I also tried installing the rpm in bash as root like this,

rpm -i winex3-1-1-i386.rpm
error: winex3-1-1-i386.rpm: MD5 digest: BAD Expected(667add330684b4e65305b2028df49ac0) != (ef0862a755f94eaa95e326cc1af1b061)
error: winex3-1-1-i386.rpm cannot be installed

what the hell is going on?

sorry i forgot to state what am running...

I was trying to run games like counterstrike and quakeIII arena... winex was more for gaming than wine as i read.

i get the message bash this is not a directory or not in path when i try it using the the tutorial commands of wine in a command line interface

then i also tried using it at the GUI am using kde 3.0 the wine busy icon will keep on flahing and it will just quit

i also tried opening some of the preconfigured items in winex folder menu like notepad but still nothing happens

my windows is on an ntfs partition and am using winxp... when nothing happened still, i removed winex and installed it anew using an rpm file then i did not used my windows but instead opted for a false windows directory coz i read that it might work even if windows is not installed. my linux is installed in a ext3 format...

lastly is it possible to install ms win games using wine and install them on my linux partition.

i really want to be able to uninstall my windows but i still can't for most of my appz runs on windows but incase i'll be able to run wine or winex them that would be great.

thanks and more power to all
