mayby its something i dont have done?
lets take it from the start. i have just installed SuSE. what should i do?
give all the commands,

I don't think there's much point for us to continue...

My advice to you is to try a different distro such as Mepis. http://www.mepis.org/
The reason I suggest mepis is that on their main page there a press release that goes:

SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1-1 Maintenance Release
Submitted by warren on Fri, 06/10/2005 - 18:12. ISOs
Morgantown, WV, June 10, 2005: MEPIS has released a SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1-1 bootable CD. This is a maintenance release of SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1 to add the Traveller Disc feature when running from CD or performing a fresh install. Also autoconfiguration support has been added for new Intel and Nforce4 motherboards.

So they specifically state that they have support for Nforce4 motherboards which I think is what you need.

But i dont know so much about linux yet.
is mepis difficult? SuSE was very easy to install, but to install software was not easy. What about Mepis? ist it difficult to install the OS?
