Unable to install Firefox

Hi, group;

I have read the thread "How to install Mozilla", read the Firefox pages, and googled but I have found no help installing Firefox. I have made directories and remade directories, but Firefox still will not install. Running "./firefox" produces this msg: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/.

I prefer Firefox to Konqueror, as I have used Firebird. I would love to get Firefox installed.

TIA

and you don't need to read the how to install mozilla as all you have to do is download the tarball off the site, and just untar it wherever you want and run firefox ...

Hi, DrOzz, and thank you. Yes, the Firefox link is the msg I get when I type ./firefox. I guess I should have been more clear --I read on the Mozilla site for everything concerning Firefox. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Whoa, Santas! TYVM. The link is exactly what I needed. Firebird is up and running. http://jetblackz.freesite.org/Instal...fox.html:cool:

download the firefox tar.gz...untar it, cd into the firefox directory it creates... and type ./configure...and you're done...it's that easy!!
actually, it's exactly the same as installing firebird...
