ufraw software

Hi,

I am using Gimp and ufraw to edit my digital photos. Not sure why but I cant send photos from ufraw to gimp as i get an error messge nor can i save my edited raw image as a jpeg.

I cant find any link in Gimp either so I,m presuming Gimp and ufraw are not plugged in??
Can anyone help?

My o/s is Ubuntu 9.02.

thanks

I assume you don't have gimp-ufraw installed. Install it and use «Open with GIMP» context menu entry: it opens the GIMP and UFRaw as it's plugin, you make the corrections and press OK, then it loads in GIMP. Save the file as XCF first because GIMP itself can't deal with RAW formats. Then after you edit it you can save it as JPG or whatever.

Right-click on file --> Open with GIMP. No such option?

Just right-click on any RAW you have. There have to be an «Open with» option in context menu which will show «Open with UFRaw» and «Open with GIMP». Another way can be dragging and dropping your RAW into GIMP' main window or File » Open from GIMP itself.
