UFRaw

I have been trying to get UFRaw to work for about 3 weeks now. With no success. Does any body know of another program that can read Canon 20D raw files that will work on SuSe Linux 9.3.

Maybe try the GIMP... I'm not sure whether it will accept .raw files, and if it doesn't it probably should.

I did but it us UFRaw as a plugin to read the raw files. UFRaw is supposed to run as a stand along program or as a plugin for GIMP. I have searched this four as well as others but no body seems to know how to get it to work.

My problem with ufraw is when I run it from the command line I get the following error:

ufraw: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgimpwidgets-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: gdk_threads_lock

It was installed using rpm and it didn't complain that libgimpwidgets-2.0.so.0 was a missing dependency...

Any ideas?

thx

You could try dcraw from the command line or rawphoto.c. Check out this page:

The main reason I would like to get UFRAW working is because I was under the impression that it had some additional manipulation functions associated with it that DCRAW doesn't offer directly. Not sure if this is true or not.
