shutting down gentoo


I have a running gentoo system and everything is working except the power down. I shut is down and it goes to power down and stops. I have ampd emerged and running. Have nvidia card. Thanks

i had the same problem in slack. i uncommented the /sbin/modprobe apm line in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and that allowed full power down. if gentoo has the same config files that might work. otherwise i would take a guess and say you should look for some ACPI functions somewhere. gl
