Can someone tell me please, where sendmail stores andreceived send emails?

And why some sendmail files configuration have .m4 extension?

/var/spool/mqueue for queued outgoing mail and /var/spool/mail for incoming.

And why some sendmail files configuration have .m4 extension?
M4 is a macro processor. Running "m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/sendmail.cf" for instance produces your sendmail configuration file.

Yes. It's a dead letter. Mail you started composing but discarded.
