ps2pdf problems "Unrecoverable error, exit code 1"

I'm not really sure how ps2pdf works...or even begin to understand how ghostscript works.

I've been having problems converting ps documents to pdf.

here's the output I get:
Code:
Error: /invalidfont in findfont

Current allocation mode is local
Last OS error: 2
Current file position is 2804
ESP Ghostscript 7.07.1: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
When I copy the ps file to another computer, it works fine. I think I'm missing something. According to the error, it's not finding a font. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

thanks!
