Perl:CPAN problem on startup

Hello All,

I am running RH 9.0 & when starting CPAN via either

perl -MCPAN -e shell or just CPAN i get the following errors

Undefined value assigned to typeglob at (eval 13)line15,<RC>line 11.
Warning [/etc/inputrc line 11]:Invalid variable `mark-symlinked-directories'

cpan shell -- CPAN exploration and modules installation (v1.61)
ReadLine support enabled

I have just upgraded perl to the latest for v9.

I think part of my problem is that i have tried installing perl modules when i actually had RPM versions already installed.

Any advice on any of this would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Jester
