OSCAR 5.0 on SUSE10.1 installation issues

hi all,

i tried searching for this issue but havnt come up with anything substantial. I am trying to install OSCAR 5.0 on SUSE 10.1 (i know the supported distro is 10.0) and during the boot strap it gives the error perl-IO-Tty is not installed and i know that with suse 10.1 this rpm is not included. When i tried to install that RPM it states that the version of perl (5.8.8) does not support this rpm and requires perl 5.10. I have made the install but i am not sure how to change the env var to point to the new installation of perl.

So any help changing the variables or any easier way to install oscar would be appreciated, even changing the version of oscar.

The other question i had was that i know when deploying the cluster oscar replicates the home folder. But does it also replicate the /opt folder? how is user installed software deployed over the cluster?

I am stuck using Suse 10.1 as i am trying to install a cluster that can provide an HPC solution for Fluent 6.3.26.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Ibad

May be Oscar 5.1 can be used ? ?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/oscar/files/

Alternatives ...
All 662 'Cluster' applications are available here :
http://sourceforge.net/softwaremap/t...p?form_cat=141
.. OpenMosix may be the one that is most often referred to ?
