Dear Everyone,

I have installed xampp 1.8 in to linux 64 bit machine
and i was running my xampp on port 90 so i changed in httpd.conf file so i made 80 as 90 and now i am able to run xampp on browser. and i am running simple php program where i m connecting to oracle 11g database so i have connect_oci function in php so i need unable

;extension=php_oci8.dll ; Use with Oracle 10gR2 Instant Client
;extension=php_oci8_11g.dll ; Use with Oracle 11g Instant Client

before i uncommet this line my xampp was running perfectly fine but when i remove comment form this line and when i restart my apache will not run php code.. instead of running php code it will download php code.

is it happening because of i have installed 32 xampp on 64 bit machine? if so then where can i find the 64 bit xampp

The Xampp website seems to offer only one version.

Perhaps you need to search for the appropriate libraries individually and put them in place.

First, if it WAS working before you uncommented that line...have you tried putting the comment back in???. Second, you don't post the rest of your configuration, or any error(s) you're seeing with Apache startup and Oracle, so it's hard to diagnose. And did you look on Google, for how to run xampp 32 bit on a 64bit machine????

And is there a reason you're using XAMPP, when there is already 64bit LAMP support available?
