Unhappy no sound on mepis using cmedia sound card


i have a cmedia 3d sound card which i use to get some audio using fedora but after installing mepis i can't to get any audio from the card. could someone tell me how to configure it to work?:

kmix is off by defult otherwise run alsaconf

no luck

ran alsaconf and till no luck found the card and config. but kmix is still disable. has a red x on the speaker icon

Hi

Install discover1 and reboot your computer.
Sound card should work.

Thanks sls i now have audio working great know.

one more thing, i tried installing packages like gnuboy and even dvdbackup but either they don't work like dvdbackup (can't launch) or i can't seem to find them after doing a search (gnuboy) and they are listed as install.

Hi

In Konsole use man package name
It should give you the info to launch the program.

is there a graphical of doing it? (point and click as in windows)
is there a software that can copy protected dvd's in linux?
and my desk keeps reseting somtimes when i am running more than one program (multitasking)
