Question Problems getting ati all-in-wonder and cmedia sound card to work


hi there.. i am very confused on how to install and set up my ati all-in-wonder card and how to install my cmedia soundcard... they are both detected by the operating system but when i run programs i get erros like cannot find or open /dev/video0/ or cannot open /dev/something/mixer/ anyone have suggesstions for me.. i am fairly new to linux.. i do konw how to run a simple ./configure or make.. and i have tried everything i could think of... thaks!!!
