no sound in my mpllayer

I just installed my MPlayer, but it can't play sound.

I installed it like this:
1.Extracted all the codecs to /usr/lib/codecs
2.Configure it with ./configure --prefix=/usr --codecsdir=/usr/lib/codecs --enable-gui
3.made it and installed
4.extracted 3 kinds of skins to /usr/share/mplayer/skins
5.edit ~/.mplayer/config and `/.mplayer/gui.conf to add my font path

And I did compile ALSA and OSS into my kernel.

Now when I play some movie with "mplayer *.rmvb"

it prompt:
Quote:
MPlayer 1.0rc2-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team

CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE SSE2
/usr/share/fonts/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf doesn't look like a bitmap font description, ignoring.
Cannot load bitmap font: /usr/share/fonts/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf

Playing 12.rmvb.

Everything seemed all right except a font problem. But it should do nothing with my sound. I can hear nothing now.

And if I play it with gmplayer. I find I can't adjust my Equaliser.

Thanks a lot~anyone helps me?
