Hi,
I installed ns2.33 on fedora 16 but nam is not working.
i downloaded and unpacked nam 1.14. I copied it to usr/local/bin.

when i run a tcl script it gives following error :

"stop"
[root@localhost programs]# ns 5nodes.tcl
ns: finish: couldn't execute "nam": permission denied
while executing
"exec nam out.nam &"
(procedure "finish" line 6)
invoked from within
"finish"

please sugest

thanks in anticipation

May be you got a nam for the wrong architecture ?

The command 'uname -m' will show if you have i686 (32bits)
or x86_64 (64bits)

And the file command : file /usr/local/bin/nam
will show which nam you have.
