Hi all - here is my situation...

I have two scsi drives. one has WinXP on it, the other has RH7.2
I am able to load both operating systems however not from grub menu. i installed xp then redhat the same as if you would do it if you had one partition with XP and one with RH. except grub wont load XP for some reason now that i have them OS's on separate drives.

when i try loading XP i get this:

Booting "Windows XP" (or somthing to that extent)
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

Any idea's on how to fix this?? i appreciate any help

The above lines should do the trick chainloading XP (b/c grub can't load XP directly it has to chainload them)

I had the same problem when I first installed RH (on a separate harddisk like you did) I put in the command line mentioned by you for chainloading and the system just froze.
With me it turned out that RH not recognizing my first hdd with XP on it well was my problem. RH told me that in the boot up sequence.
When I did a fresh install of XP and than installed RH with grub in the mbr it worked fine however, without me having to do any configurating at all.
You might try that.
