mplayerplug-in issues

Hi,

I'm having issues playing certain videos online with mplayerplug-in (using firefox). When it's allowed to open its own window everything is fine, but when the video is embedded in a website it can't seem to load. Here's an example of what I mean: http://www.fox.com/americandad/video/smithmen_hi.htm

Edit: I just found /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf, and changed a setting to noembed=0, but still no luck.

any ideas?

Thank you
Dswissmiss

When "it's allowed to open its own window", I don't think mplayerplug-in is working at all, that's just regular mplayer. mplayerplug-in, as far as i know, is only for embedded video. I have it installed with firefox and that url worked perfectly for me.. try re-installing maybe? It doesn't sound like it was installed correctly.

oops, good point stonecrest. What I meant was that some videos open their own tab, and mplayerplug-in plays in the whole window. I reinstalled recently but it still doesn't work, could you guys possibly show me your /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf by any chance? I'll try reinstalling again though.

Thanx for the help!
