Mozilla / Mouse prob Mdk 9.1

hey all - loaded up a mandy 9.1 recently. Using Mozilla (the one that comes with it - 1.3.something). A few days ago I started having a problem with the browser portion (email still works fine). WHen I launch the browser, the mouse goes to "very slow" when over the Mozilla window only (mouse is normal elsewhere on the screen), and the browser is all but dead. I can sometimes use the pull-down URL history and go to one sight, but if I click in the URL window (like to type in a URL) that's all she wrote. Not finding any errors anywhere, but the only solution is a killall (or xkill). Even clicking on the widget to close the window does nothing....

Opera seems to work fine, but Konqueror and Galeon exhibit a similar problem as Mozilla. Any ideas?

Thanks -

I think that you may need to adjust your KDE mouse speed.

Start kcontrol (it may be called control center on the menu).
Then click on Peripherals->Mouse->Advanced
The mouse speed is called "Pointer accelleration".

I recommend starting at about a speed of 5x.

still don't know for sure...

Well, it's not the mouse speed directly...it's just when the mouse is over the browser windows that it is a problem.

However, from some other posts shomewhere, I cleared the history and cache, and it seems to be working o.k. now

Dunno.

I really want to use Mozilla though (hope this fix works out) because it allows me to share a common email folder between both Linux and Windows (dual boot). No other email seems to do that (short of using IMAP or webmail solutions).

Thanks -
