moving email (evolution) from one computer to another

what is the best way to move evolution mail folders and messages from one computer to another

I don't want to forward the emails. Rather I want to put them onto a usb memory stick and then bring them over to the other computer and pop them in evolution.

Any suggestions or best practices.

Evolution keeps it's mail at
/home/username/.evolution/mail
The . means it's a hidden file.

Set your file directory to show hidden files.
I looked, I don't see an export feature in Evolution.

And the actual folders can be found in /home/<username>/.evolution/mail/local

Just copy the Evolution files to a USB stick (or whatever) and copy them to the same directory on your new machine. That's what worked for me -- J.W.
