Making a hotkey to enable/disable the touchpad - possible?
I tried asking at Ubuntuforums to no reply, so here goes....
I want to setup a hotkey turn the touchpad on and off easily and quickly. When typing, I often bump it with the heel of my hand, making the cursor jump - which plays havoc with whatever document I'm working with. Ubuntu 9.04 if that helps. I'm wondering if there is an easy way, though any way is OK. Any way to monitor the mouse settings applet to see what exactly it does when I check and uncheck the box to find out what command it is passing where? If I had a command I'm pretty sure I could make a quick script and figure out how to hotkey it...
Been using Linux for about 5 years, 3 years exclusively and it is the ability to do things like this that I love about it.
