looking msn software in text based mode ?


i'm looking for chat software like msn, but i want to run in text mode..
any recommendation ?

finch is pidgin text-mode, and pidgin was known as Gaim..am i right ?

now i hv gaim installed (built-in) in my fedora 6.
Do i hv to update gaim to fidgin ?
or gaim itself already have text-mode version ?

I can't actually remember if old versions of Gaim had a text based version, though I'm thinking not (I could be wrong, obviously). In any case, it'd probably be wise to use Pidgin.
