lightweight DLNA server with half decent UI

Does such a thing exist?

I use a logitech media server for music (I have a few squeezeboxes), but dropped it a while ago for video for reasons I forget.

Up to recently I used Mediatomb (lightweight with a quirky, yet usable web UI), however that appears to have fizzled out and I can't find all the dependencies to get it working.

Can anyone recommend something that will work with my humax stb?

i don't know what a humax stb is, but i would also like an answer to that question.
i used to run libresonic as a media (or is it music only?) server, before that ampache reborn (which has somewhat unstable video support).
both aren't exactly lightweight, but libresonic has the big plus of being compatible with something else and clients for android exist.

A Humax STB in my case is a freesat DVR with the ability to play media from a DLNA compatible server, USB and other online sources like iPlayer etc.

I managed to get MediaTomb to work eventually, and everything appears to be lovely at the moment.

Would be nice to know what else is out there though..

Perhaps reading this and the following might answer your question.

This is what I got when trying to load mediatomb's website (mediatomb.cc);

DNS resolution error
And this is from Google search results for "mediatomb.cc";

MediaTomb has been buried, 2017-04-03. MediaTomb was fun, but we moved on to other things and will not continue the project. You may want to check out a fork at http://gerbera.io/ ...

I looked at gerbera over the weekend, the website was pretty, but broken, hopefully I just caught it at the wrong time.

I think I was lucky in getting mediatomb installed when I did, I'll keep an eye on gerbera though as I'd prefer something that's currently being supported.

It was fine for me a minute ago.

Have you checked your package manager for gerbera?

As it looks exactly like mediatomb did - I've used mediatomb myself and liked it.
