kino and missing libraw1394

In trying to install kino 0.8.0, ./configure returned:

checking for LIBRAW1394... configure: error: Package requirements (libraw1394 >= 1.0.0) were not met.
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively you may set the LIBRAW1394_CFLAGS and LIBRAW1394_LIBS environment variables
to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for
more details.

I installed libraw1394-1.2.0-1.pm.2.i586.rpm from PackMan but I get the same result. I know pkg-config looks for a .pc file, but the rpm doesn't seem to have installed one on my box.

re: kino and missing libraw1394

maybe you need to install the corresponding libraw1394-devel package.
