Hello, I was following this doc: http://docs.kde.org/development/en/k...ml#theme-files

CentOS4 on 2.6 kernel...my problem is that I cannot get the splash I made to show up in the KDE Control Center. I clicked Add so I could locate the file manually, and browsed to the correct directory, but the file does not show up. It is Theme.rc and says:

[KSplash Theme: IntegrityTheme]
Name = IntegrityTheme
Description = Theme for Integrity Consulting Co.
Version = 1.0
Author = Jt Hollister <jthollister@gmail.com>
## XpLike engine
Engine = XpLike
Show Icon = false
Welcome Text = Loading Graphical User Interface for Integrity Consultant.


Obviously not finished, but I was testing to see if it would load at all and it won't...Help is appreciated

Hi, I've never done a kde splash theme, but the ones I've downloaded are in .tar.gz format; so I guess the kde control center is looking for a file in this format.

Hmm, but when you get them in tar.gz format don't you extract them? I just don't see doing that...nevertheless, I just decided to copy the ones that are already there and change some stuff about them...that will work better thanks
