kde splash screen

I have been reading about that to go to kde-org and download a splash screen. When I read the instructions it says to put it in a certain directory. The problem is I do not have that directory. Anu idea on what I am missing?

Create the directories you need... at first they did not exist for me either. =)

ok I did that and unzipped them. what do I do next. I loggeed out of X and relogged back in and it was the same thing

Go to the KDE Control Center, its under Appearance & Themes --> Splash Screen

At least that's what it is in mine.

I fixed it. You are probably running 3.2. I am running 3.1
