KDE Mouse Theme

I have downloaded a new mouse theme for KDE 3.1.4. I followed the instructions in the how to for installation of an X Mouse Theme from http://www.kde-look.org/help/index.php?type=36 but it didn't seem to work. I still have the crappy theme that comes with KDE. Is there a way to change KDE's themes to look like those of X, since the themes are actually X11 Themes? If so, how? Thanks, Jeremy
