KDE Kiosk on Suse 9.1
so first I installed the version of Kiosk that came with my Suse 9.1Pro CD....there was no option in this software however to apply the profile being created TO a user, and root (who I was logged in as when I configured it) seemed to be the only user the restrictions of the profile were being applied to when i was logging out and then back in.
I removed this version of kiosk, installed the newest one from the kde site, and it has a section to apply the profile to users or groups so I applied it to a group containing the user I wanted the restrictions to apply to. This time the profile did not seem ot be being enforced anywhere which was good since it wasnt applying the restrictions to my root account but bad because it still wasnt applying them to the user account I was trying to create a profile for.
Once you install kiosk, and configure it by running kiosktool, is there another location where you need to tell kiosk to start as a service or somethnig? or do you know what else my problem might be why the settings are not applying to any of the users??
thanks!
