Configuring a KDE Kiosk

Hello All,
Although not exactly a newb I am venturing into an area not explored before and have a couple of questions regarding setting up a KDE Kiosk. I have an older P2 box thats running LM 10.1 and am setting it up so that no apps are launchable by any guest except Firefox. I've removed all app shortcuts from the taskbar except the clock and an icon to launch the Firefox browser . All KDE user configuration tools have been locked down so casual users can't muck up the
default "guest " account KDE settings I've established. Now I want this machine to launch Firefox maximized and in full screen mode upon boot as soon as KDE comes up in this guest account. I've already looked through some KDE kiosk howtos but I really don't see anything pertaining to this particular need. Any help???

The latest version of Linux Journal had a pretty good article regarding KDE and Kiosk mode. They also recommended a tool that will help set it up. I am not sure if the tool will set the Default browser. I don't have the article with me now, however you may want to check their site.

You may run into issues setting the default browser in KDE. I seem to remember having some challenges over that one. I will look into setting a default browser, if I find anything I will post back.

Regarding the default browser, check out the following thread.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=280838

It states that a simple file is all that is required, however I know that I had other issues, I just cant remember what they were. If it works for you, post back.
