j2sdk1.4.2.rpm uninstall issue

It seems I've messed up /usr/lib/java dir (does this dir contain any files by default?), and now I can't exploit benefits of j2sdk, nor can I uninstall it (the fist uninstall attempt seemed to be a failure). This is the error code I get when I try to uninstall this package:

# rpm -e j2sdk-1.4.2_13-fcs
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/lib/tools.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/jre/lib/rt.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/jre/lib/jsse.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/jre/lib/charsets.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/jre/lib/ext/localedata.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/jre/lib/plugin.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/jre/javaws/javaws.pack': No such file or directory
touch: cannot touch `/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_13/lib/unpack': No such file or directory
error: %preun(j2sdk-1.4.2_13-fcs.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

Can anyone help me get this thing back on-line?

I've managed to install J2SDK from self-extracting binary and exploit it through Eclipse... If I understood it correctly, the only reason .rpm package exists is for, is easier maintainance, right? But you can still uninstall this just by deleting the directory where the files are extracted (thus making the rpmdb out of sync)?

So, how do I solve this rpmdb issue?
