Hello-

I have an issue with Mozilla and java (running slackware 10 kernel 2.4.24-om2). Whenever I go to a page with a Java Applet, all I see
is the Coffee Mug logo and nothing happens. Usually, Java applets will load on my computer in a snap. In my ~./.mozilla/plugins, I have these-

java_vm -> /opt/j2sdk1.4.2_04/jre/bin/java_vm
gxineplugin.so
libflashplayer.so
libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /opt/j2sdk1.4.2_04/jre/plugins/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
flashplayer.xpt

So, whenever I goto any page that has a java applet, it doesn't load. I tried the newer jdk1.5.0, but that didn't give me any better resaults.

Also, Java programs, like limewire, take a really long time to load. Like, I'll launch limewire from one of my menus on xfce, and nothing will appear for about five minutes, then it would load.

So, does anyone have any ideas?

I dont have the java_vm symbolic link and my symbolic link to libjavaplugin_oji.so is placed in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
I also think I have a newer java version than you have.
My java work ok with mozilla-1.7.3 and firefox.
