Internet Connection speed in Redhat 9

Hi there,

does anyone know of a application that I can place on my Redhat 9 desktop that will tell me the current connection speed of an open internet connection?

I have a normal install of the desktop environment on my machine.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Try gkrellm, it does all sorts of monitoring, but I don't know if it does a connection speed.

There is a gnome panel applet called modem lights, that displays some stats about a dial-up connection.

I hope this helps
