Install a RPM


Hello All,
I am wondering what command would I use to install easytag-1.0-1_suse91.i586.rpm
. I know its rpm something, but I am not sure about the rest.

rpm -ivh <name>.rpm

Another useful alternative, especially when upgrading is
#rpm -Uvh <name>.rpm

And we both should have mentioned man rpm to read up on all the different options you have when issuing the rpm command.

You are right there. I think I'm beginning to forget the principles I followed as a Always read the man pages, they are very helpful.
