In FireFox: gxine->mplyer

Hi there!

I would like to get rid of the gxine plugin, that FF starts, whenever I click on a vid on a website.

I installed FF in my personal folder and installed the mplayerplugin files into "plugins" and "components" ... one time it even worked .. don't know why this was. But normally gxine comes up, as if there wouldn't be any mplayer-plugin...

Using Slack 10.0 and FF1.0

Does someone have a clue, how to change to mplayerplugin?

Thanks a lot!

Greetings, Sascha

check for a gxineplugin.so in $HOME/.mozilla/plugins and remove it ( i wouldn't delete it until you know that the mplayer plugin is the one you want to stick with, as (this is just my opinion) it doesn't have the ability to be controlled quite as well as the xine based plugins).

Thanks ... I'll have a look after that.

I know, mplayerplugin sucks ... I have had a lot of trouble with it... but something I haven't found in gxine is the functionallity to save every cached file ...

Thanks, Sascha
