Ibus-rime buggy as if keyboard being pressed forever (on Gnome, Arch linux)

Problem:

It is buggy almost each time after the input source is switched to Chinese Rime (ibus-rime). The problematic behavior is that after one key is pressed and released, the system got halted as if the same key is being pressed forever; sometimes after a while (half a minute) the display became live again showing the same key is being typed repeatedly into the input method until I switched ibus-rime off and back to English input; and sometimes it doesn't come back at all so I had to reboot.

Environment:

OS: Antergos
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.17.2-1-ARCH
DE: Gnome
IBus version: 1.5.18
ibus-rime version: 1.3.0
Enabled input sources: English, Chinese (Rime)

How I enabled Rime:

Very typical: I installed ibus-rime package; then ran ibus-setup to start the daemon; then added it in settings (GUI) > region & languages.

Help please.
