How to install programs?

There is four years since last time I installed a program in SuSe Linux. I can't remember how to do it! Can someone help me with instructions to install in SuSe Linux 9.1, please!

Package Manager.

Every distro has a package manager (in the menus under "install software" or something similar), which uses repositories to manage all of the common applications and libraries.

If you don't find what you are looking for, I would consider upgrading to OpenSUSE 10.2 or any of several more modern distros.

It may sound weird and unexpected but most if not all distros have home pages with useful instructions, tips and FAQ how to use their product.

UhhMaybe;

May I suggest that you not unearth these old threads. You'll notice in this one--and at least one other--that the OP is long gone.
