Found major bug in latest stable kernel (2.6.10 and 2.6.9 too) but nobody cares?

Hi, I found what I believe to be a bug in the kernel:

As you can see I submitted a bug report but it's had no attention from anyone so far.

My server isn't usable until it gets fixed.

I understand but it seems it hasn't even recieved any attention from anyone in the know, though it has had a possible confirm from someonte else in the same position as myself.

Is there any functionality I can remove from the kernel in the meantime to continue working?

I hate to say it but I'm a bit embarrassed.

Have you tried downgrading to the 2.6.8 kernel?
# apt-get install kernel-image-2.6
installed 2.6.8 on my system (pinned with stable default, then testing or unstable if not found in stable)

A person might wonder what are the chances of two different kernels having the same bug on my machine that nobody else even knows about.
