Evolution email crashes as it starts

I's using FC3 on a 700mhz box, 256 mb ram and 60 gig hard drive.
This is a standalone box with no lan. I am the only user, just different names to try to rescue myself....
I was checking my email a couple hours ago. I clicked on a new message to look at it. I have got numerous emails from this individual, but when I clicked it I got a box that said "the application evolution has quit unexpectedly. It won't open for that user at all.
I can switch to root and open evolution ok. Added another user and can also open evolution from there. However ,
I tried to import while am another user but unable to do that. I think I might be able to copy the hidden file, .evolution, to one of the other users. Would that work? Did I somehow lose my link to evolution from that particular user....

What happens if you try to open Evolution from a console (with the command evolution or /path/to/evolution)? It may give a better set of error codes.
