DigiKam Question
Hello,
I'm new to this forum, and very new to Mandrakelinux. I've used linux before (RH & FC) and got pretty burned out on them.
Getting to the point, I'm more of a photographer than I am a linux geek (absolutely no offense intended), and I'm having trouble making DigiKam 0.6.2 stable recognize camera RAW files. When I point the software to the location of a file, the thumbnail browser remains blank. It works fine (as near as I can tell) with JPGS, but I'm really striving for RAW (NEF, in this case) compatibility.
I'm a professional photographer who wants something other than Windows to play on.
Do you know any way to make this work?
Incidentally, I have dcraw installed, as well as the dcraw-plugin for Gimp. I've also installed the plugins addon for DigiKam. The option for RAW conversion shows up in the Tools menu, but is perpetually greyed-out.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
