Courier imap + postfix -> maildir thing.

Just setting up a mailserver..
postfix as MTA, Courier Imap for internal network mail reading
(and some extra spam, virus controll)

I tried to use Maildirs, but i bumbed into the following thing,

we're used to:

mail@adress.aa
|
- inbox
- sent
- trash
- spam

now with the Maildir format, it shows up like:

mail@adress.aa
|
- Inbox
.......|
.......- Sent
.......- trash
.......- spam

(the other items, send trash & spam are located as sub-folders within the INBOX)

witch is not handy in our opinion.. just want to know if this is normal for Maildir style... ???
And ifso, is there a way to get the old style notation ??
or do we have to use the Mbox style again, or are there some other way's to acomplish this ?

Greets
