postfix + courier-imap + mysql

hello forum,

i have configured postfix from src code, courier-imap and mysql database. my postfix is working i am able to send mail through postfix.
i have also configured authdeamonrc and authmysqlrc in courier imap.
data base for authentication in mysql also has been created.

now my problem is i am unable to login into imap. i cant find out were the problem might be.

-plz give me any suggestions as soon as possible.

You should see errors in your mail logs telling you the problem. Take a look at your mail logs and post the errors and I will take a look at them. Also if you could post your main.cf file.

Looks like AUTH is missing

make telnet localhost telnet localhost 25 and type EHLO
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
EHLO
250-AUTH LOGIN CRAM-MD5 PLAIN
250-AUTH=LOGIN CRAM-MD5 PLAIN
250-PIPELINING
250 8BITMIME

250-AUTH LOGIN CRAM-MD5 PLAIN etc is needed for many logins these days

But maybe its something else.

I just had that problem just 2 days ago and that was the problem.

hello friends,

thks guy, i solved the problem. i had left illegal space in my config file for authmysqlrc that was causing problem with query to mysql and hence authentication.
