configuring mysql for windows and suse

Dear people,

after succesfully installing a dual-boot windowsXP/SuseLinux Apache/PHP configuration (thus the same htdocs-folder in both Windows and Linux on a FAT32 partition), I'd like to know if it's possible to use the same mysql-databases from both systems.

In WindowsXP my dbases are located under D:\MySql\bin\,
in Suse they're in /var/lib/mysql

As I managed to do with Apache (they both use a FAT32 partition in /windows/win_G/www), I wonder if I could configure mysql so that windows and linux use the same databases.

In windows I placed my configuration file under C:/windows/ as I read in the installation instructions. Where is this file located on my Suse box? (SuSE9.0 mysql-rpm-installation), and can I instruct both mysql servers to use the same data folder?

Thx a lot in advance!
