Question compile qt > tgz

I have checkinstall 1.53 and Slackware 9... I uptated the "ln" binary
for dynamic linking....

I make:
ln -s qt-3/ qt
ln -s qt-x11-free-3.1.2/ qt-3
I use this script:
-----------------------------------
cd qt-3

export QTDIR=$PWD
export YACC='byacc -d'
export PATH=$PATH:$QTDIR/bin
./configure \
-system-zlib \
-qt-gif \
-system-libpng \
-system-libjpeg \
-plugin-imgfmt-mng \
-thread \
-no-nis \
-no-stl \
-no-xinerama \
-no-g++-exceptions
make&&echo Done!
..............................................
then
checkinstall
...... the package does not contain the qt directory ( link ) so the qt-xxx.tgz is 8Mb large.... and that is not the full make install.

Can you help me to make the qt package -
THNX
