Hi
Me facing exactly similar probs..
Before the recent change in Yahoo protocols ..Gaim worked ok for chat rooms..
but after the change (10th Jan) I cant use chatrooms in yahoo thru Gaim/gyach (
I have no suggestions about gaim but I can suggest getting (I think) Ychat for Windows because it was built to run through Wine. I have it working and it works good through Wine.
Yahoo had a chat client for Linux long ago, they had never updated that rpm since then. If any onewould like to open an petition on http://www.petitiononline.com please post it on the forums later, I'd like to support.
Yahoo should know many ppl had move to linux now..
Hi Ultimaguy
Your info is correct.Sometime back using scs.msg.yahoo.com was the trick.
But _NOW_ its all complicated ..doent work for *CHAT* (not IM)
Are you able to go to chatrooms using Gaim now?
btw Gaim-0.75 does this server setting for you, automatically.
adios
