I'm presently using Debian Sarge. I used to use Mandrake 10.0 and Mandy 2006. Either one I had the same problem. I can't seem to get Konqeror to fully close when I exit it. It still leaves an instance open in System Guard. I end up having to kill it in System Guard process table. This isn't a problem for most things but I use Konqueror when I mount my samba shares. I was having a problem unmounting my shares when I was done and found out this was because Konqueror wasn't fully closing. Is there any way to fix this? It's not a major problem as I can go into system guard and kill it but it's more than annoying. I guess I could use Krusader instead to brouse the shares. But this would be helpful either way.

Go into the Control Center --> KDE Components --> KDE Performance and under Preloading uncheck the Preload an instance box and see if this helps.
