Audio not fully working

I have only partially functional audio.

The good:

If I go to System Settings -> Sound Detection, it says:
Silicon Integrated System [SiS]
SiS7012 PCI Audio Accelerator
i810 audio
The test sounds plays correctly (3 guitar strums)

If i to go Control Center -> Sound System, the test sound plays correctly there.

XMMS Media Player plays mp3 files

The bad:
Playing a flash game, the sound is 'choppy'

Streaming from electronicscene.com, the stream work, realplayer is playing but no sound.

Streaming from wbgo.org does not work. Firefox (new version 1.0) shows a pop saying it needs to search for plugins. It finds RealPlayer10.0, which i download. I put in in the firefox plugin folder. it is not a .so file, but rather .bin, which doesn't seem right.

RealPlayer does not play mp3 files

What can i do to fix the problems?

If you're using OSS drivers, try to switch to ALSA drivers.

You are using the SiS7012 soudcard which uses the i810 driver. Here's a complete HOW-TO for installing the soundcard using ALSA drivers.
